For some reason you can still find references on the internet about Moscow area code being 095. This area code has been changed since 2005. Make sure that you use the current Moscow area code.

As of December 1, 2005, Moscow area code no longer uses 0 as the first digit.  Currently, Moscow has 495 and 499 area codes.  Zero is taken out of the area code to bring the Russian telecommunications systems to the European standards. Thus 0 is now used for long-distance calls.
